Welcome Home Sis!

Hey love! Come in!

We have a spot that has been carefully planned with you in mind. For us.

Sistah,
You’ve been on my mind
Oh Sistah, we’re two of a kind
So sistah,
I’m keepin’ my eyes on you

We are single, mature (40+) Black women with no children. Single or childless by divorce, by death or by choice, whatever the circumstance, here we are. We have needs that are very specific to us. My prayer is that we can start meaningful conversations to address some of those needs.

Thrive Sistah is a place to come to when you want to discuss issues specific to you, with sistah’s like you; with family. We strive to find the best content from across the web and curate it to meet our needs and interests. We feel our demographic is grossly under-represented digitally and our needs aren’t being properly addressed by anyone else online. We aim to fill the gap.

I betcha think
I don’t know nothin’
But singin’ the blues
Oh sistah, have I got news for you
I’m somethin’
I hope you think
That you’re somethin’ too

We strive to provide content that will address our concerns from members within our demographic, as well as aggregated information from across the web from other meaningful voices.

What we are not and will not become, is focused on dating or ‘becoming dateable’.  We feel that kind of content is plentiful. But, content addressing our specific financial, social, mental and physical needs, among other topics, is severely lacking.

Oh, Scufflin’,
I been up that lonesome road
And I seen a lot of suns goin’ down
Oh, but trust me
No low life’s gonna run me around

We have created a community that will serve as a safe place for us to speak our truths and to encourage one another, to love on one another, to breathe life into our spirits. To scratch out each other’s head if we’re ailing. To grow a sisterhood.

So let me tell you somethin’ sistah
Remember your name
No twister,
Gonna steal your stuff away
My sistah
Sho’ ain’t got a whole lot of time

We hope you’re as excited as we are, and we hope you will lend your voice to our community. We welcome your contributions and your feedback.

We look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood, Sistah!

So shake your shimmy,
Sistah
‘Cause honey this ‘shug
Is feelin’ fine
